Tax Year Prior to 2020: I need form 6252 to input capital gains taxes, where is it in turbo tax premier?

Taxpayers use Form 6252 to report income from installment sales.

To enter your Installment Sales in TurboTax:

1. Open your return.
2. Enter "installment sales" in the Search box (upper right of the program screen).  
3. Click on "Jump to installment sales" link.
4. Answer screen prompts.

Enter installment sales in the search box located in the upper right of the TurboTax program screen. Click on Jump to installment sales. From there you will follow the on screen instructions to answer the interview questions.

i sold some land in 2019 , owner financed with installment payments for loss in 2019 . Which irs form should i employ?  thanks , rick t

To report an installment sale in your tax return your use form 6252.

• Click on "Search" and type "Installment Sales" in the window and hit Enter
• Click on "Jump to Installment Sales"
• On the page "Any Other Property Sales" check the box for: "Sales of real estate, cars, or anything else for which you receive payments over two or more tax years (installment sales)" and click Continue
• If you are using Deluxe you will be prompted to upgrade to Premier
• On the Installment Sales page answer yes to "Do you want to report an installment sale?"
• Continue through the interview and record the details of your Installment Sale
