Sch D & 8449 problem

Desktop Premier.  I have a long term fund sale.  I filled out the details and the screen says "long-term Box F" and "needs review".  I am unable to force box D, the correct choice.  and I have no idea why it says I need review in the status column when all info is correct except the sales section which has no way of changing it.

As an aside, this is copy 3 of the 3 form 8449's in my return.

Sch D & 8449 problem

FIXED.  I deleted the entire entry and started again.  That brought a page of details that is not available when editing an entry (a major fault by the developers of this software).

As for the 'needs review' flag in the status column.  When entering my data, which is fund purchased on more than one date, I selected 'Various' as prompted by the program.  I still got the status flag but after selecting 'edit' the program told me that 'various' needed to be selected (it already was) but when I selected it again, it accepted it.  Another black mark for the developers.

I will admit that I populated my program with data early to make sure I didn't have any 'tax surprises'.  So I am faced with the possibility of needing to repeat this delete & reenter data for several other transactions that I am still awaiting my 1099-B.  This section seriously need to have more editing ability because it appears that I will be doing more deletion & reentering rather than simply needing to adjust some minor entries.

I'm quite unhappy with the new user interface in this year's product.
