Rental property was For Sale in 2017 & sold in 2018. Some expenses for selling it occurred in 2017. Wait until next year to claim all expenses & profits together?

Yes, the expenses for selling your property should be reported in 2018, when you report the sale.

Yes, the expenses for selling your property should be reported in 2018, when you report the sale.
