1099 R code for a total distribution of annuity bought with after tax money

the code is on the 1099R box 7. box 2a should have the taxable amount while box 5 should have your contributions

box 2a + 5 should equal box 1

Why do you think that it is incorrect?

 

The code depends on the type of account (type of annuity) and your age.
