I'm glad it worked for you.  Sometimes reviewing your inputs and making changes in things like % of time used for business is all it takes to get correct numbers in your return.

Could you clarify please?  Do you own the rental property?  What was $600?  What does "won't let you " mean?  What happens in the program?

my first year I rented the home for one month.  I detailed the property value and improvements to deduct depreciation from my one month rental for 2016.  For that one month it was $600.  For 201 (12 months rental) turbo tax says my limit is $1271 in depreciation.  which is less that 2 months compared to last year.  It results in my rental income being all taxable.

Edit the property asset showing under Assets to review all your entries.  For 2017, during the interview, make sure you say the property was used 100% for business .
