Premier or Deluxe

I have used the Premier version in past years as we have a townhome that we previously rented. We no longer rent the townhome and use it for personal use only. Can I get by with the Deluxe version while we own the townhome and are using it for personal use only? would I need to switch to the Premier version if we ever decided to sell the townhome?

Yes, you will have to switch to Premier (assuming you are using the Online version) when you sell the property.

Frankly, for the incremental difference in price it is probably worth the extra expense to stick with Premier to ensure that any passive loss, accumulated depreciation, et al, transfers properly from year to year.

All of the relevant information should transfer between different versions, but I would recommend playing it safe and using the same product.
