I successfully imported 1099-B info from Pershing but somehow the "Sale Category" didn't come in - and now it's asking me to go into each of 500+ trades and update it based on the PDF copy of the 1099-B.
That said, the system seems to know what the Sale Category is - since it's properly tagged in the Forms | Capital Gain/Loss Adjustment Worksheet that TTax created for each trade (even before I manually correct it).
Anyone been successful in getting this data to import? Or is there an API/etc. to fix this? The sheet view in on the 1099-B worksheet is not usable.

same problem here. Please help!
I also see the correct S/L for holding period and cost basis in the tax data but in the "easy steps" it still warns lack of sale category information for every single transaction.
Same issue, also on J.P. Morgan too.
If import does not go smooth, I will suggest to manually enter info. If there are too many transactions, try to sum up between long term and short term. You might still be able to e-file. Here are the steps:
In TurboTax online,
A Form 1099-B is issued to report the proceeds from your stocks and bonds transactions. The transactions will generate either a long term or short term capital gain or loss depends on how long the stocks are being held. The amount will be reported on line 7 of your Form 1040 along with a Schedule D and Form 8949.
@LinaJ2020 - that was my first thought, and while not perfectly precise it works for Federal.
However, MA State Tax doesn't allow it and asks for individual transactions, so I am still stuck.
I believe Turbotax fixed it all.
try it now.
