This is entered on the Sch E ... you will pretend the property is 2 separate pieces ... you will only enter the income and expenses for the rental on the Sch E ... any common expenses like insurance and taxes need to be prorated.

I own a foreign property (house) and parents live in it. How do I claim for interest and depreciation from this year on ?
