Out of state rental income seems to be shown as income on my California return
If you are a CA resident they will tax you on your total w/o r ldwide income just like the feds...however they give your credit for the taxes paid to the other state...if you completed the non resident state first the credit should have been automatic...if not you will mood to make an entry when prompted.
