My ex-husband filed all our taxes on Turbotax for 15 years as a married couple, but now we’re divorced. Can I access my old tax return data under my own SSN somewhere? I’d like to make sure I’m properly continuing an old depreciation schedule on rental

For many years, my husband filed our taxes with Turbotax, but now we are divorced, and I’m trying to access my old return information under my own social security number.  I'm especially concerned about properly depreciating a rental property that has been in service for the last seventeen years, as I have no idea how he had done it before now.  I’d feel much more comfortable starting from there, rather than starting from scratch.  Is there a way to do that?

You can request copies of your tax returns from the IRS.  I don't know what their policy is on providing copies to ex-spouses.  https://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript

To access your Turbotax files, you would have to contact customer support and have them reset the passwords on the accounts.  I don't know what their policy is either, regarding ex-spouses.  If they agree to provide access, you will likely have to fax in proof of your identity.

I should have added, that you can probably get these materials through your attorneys.  Most family court judges would not look kindly on a spouse who tries to conceal or won't share copies of tax info.
