My company did a secondary share purchase. Do I file this as short term capital gains?

Company offered to purchase some of my vested stock options.  I'd like to know how I should file this.  Is it just short term capital gains?

If you buy the stocks with an employee discount, the discount will be listed on our W-2 as income and will be taxed as an ordinary income. There is no other tax implication until you sell the shares. When you sell it, it could be either short-term or long-term gain losses.
