MDo I still select the “I Pay Rent” tab if I am not on the lease but still pay half?

The lease is in my girlfriends name. We each pay half. Can I still select the “I pay rent” tab even though I’m not on the lease?

Generally speaking, yes, you can claim rent paid even if you are not on the lease.

You can't both claim credit for the same rent paid, of course.

Unless your state instructions specifically require that you are on the lease, if you pay rent, you can claim the credit.
