Is an expence for a stock newsletter deductable?

No, you can not deduct the expense for a stock newsletter. In previous years this expense could be deducted as an itemized expense on Schedule A as a 2% miscellaneous deduction. However, starting in 2018 these deductions have been eliminated by the changes in the tax code and can not be deducted
