Inherited real estate property

I suggest you contact the local tax office and the executor for the estate first. If those fail, move to neighbors and they might be able to point you to appraisers and agents that worked the neighborhood.

Here is the thought process:

  • Does the tax assessor have records from 2007? They could be online or a phone call away.
  • Real estate purchases done in 2007 nearby? A neighbor may be a great resource or a real estate agent with access to past data.
  • The estate would have done an appraisal. Do they still have their records? Does the appraiser?
