In Apr2016 we sold our rental property. We had repair expenses in the 3 months prior to the sale—furnace replacement, etc. Should I enter these as rental expense or sale?

In Apr2016 we sold our rental property. We had repair expenses in the 3 months prior to the sale—furnace replacement, etc. Should I enter these as rental expense or sale?

Put them on the Sch E as repairs.
