What tax break for self employed? I don't think there is one on your tax return. Either way you will just have less income to pay tax on. If you took a early distribution from your IRA or 401K and qualify you can avoid the 10% Early Withdrawal Penalty.
If you received unemployment compensation for the time you were off, you will need to enter the 1099G for the unemployment as income.
