If I pay my fiancé every month for our mortgage, can I use this as paying “rent” on taxes?
No, you cannot claim the amount you pay your fiance for the mortgage as "rent". There is no deduction for paying rent on taxes unless it is for business purposes.
Keep in mind, mortgage interest and real estate taxes are deductible on Schedule A if you (or your fiance) are itemizing deductions. But only one, not both of you can claim the deductions.
