I work on a college campus and live on campus where I pay rent. Is the rent deductable?

It is not deductible for federal income tax purposes but you may get some benefit from your state. Prepare your state income tax, if your state has an income tax, to see if there are any tax breaks for rent or contact the Department of Revenue in your state.
