No. In your situation, since you mention salespeople, I would view this as a business transaction and report the "rent" income as business income on Schedule C. If you have the "rent" as a condition of "employment" (perhaps included in business procedures, rather than a lease) and they are in the office space to earn income for the business, I would report on Schedule C.
There are conflicting answers to this question in Community.
One consideration is the type of business you are. If you file as a sole-proprietorship, any profit from the "rent" will be subject to self-employment (FICA) tax.
Another is how much time and effort you put into the management of the rentals.
If you file it on Schedule E, it will be passive income. You also would be renting a "non-asset" since you are not renting anything you own and there would be no depreciation involved.
Third would be the business benefit you are getting by renting space to your salespeople.
I do not see this as having space that your rent out to a third party, I see it as a business fee you charge, perhaps to 1099 statutory employees.
