I pay $1,134.73 in annual interest for the heading/AC system that is at my rental house. Can I claim this and if yes where can I claim it?

Rental located in Fayetteville, NC. I purchased the new AC/Heading in 2010 but I have annual costs on the loan to purchase it.

Since you paid for the update in 2010, you cannot now use costs associated with a loan for the hvac unit. While the loan costs seem related now, you essentially went to the loan company and got some money and paid for the unit.

How do we claim the interest we charged our son on a home loan in 2025 since we have no 1099-INT?
