Why do you have to enter any shares at all?

I assume this particular trade is properly reported on a 1099-B as a covered security.  There's no need to enter the number of shares involved if you simply use the standard "Stocks, Mutual Funds, Bonds, Other" interview.  You indicate the company name, the date of the trade, the proceeds, cost basis and date of acquisition, and you're done.
