I have owned Triplex for 5 years have previously only listed it as one rental multi-unit property ..

I have owned Triplex for 5 years have previously only listed it as one rental multi-unit property, I have been basically adding the days for each unit and dividing by 3 to arrive at my days rented at fair price.  I have seen recently, that it would have been better for me to list each unit separately as each unit does have its own address.  Now that I have been doing it one way for the last 5 years, can I change to doing each unit individually now?

Yes, you can. Renting the triplex as one unit is fine. The only issue would be if you were to sell one unit - that is when you wish you had kept them separate. If you sell the whole triplex, keeping it as one unit makes it simpler.

I would recommend leaving it alone and keeping things the same.
