I have exempt-interest dividends from the NHMAX mutual fund. 1099-DIV does not list the state(s). My financial institution doesn't know & it's not on NHMAX site. Help?

The munis are tax exempt on the federal return. There should be a form accompanying your 1099-B with the breakdown. If nobody can tell you state information, then you are at a dead end for the state.

Thanks, Amy. When I spoke with my financial institution, they told me that often the funds don't "publish" the states until a couple of months into the new year. Have you heard this to also be the case?
