I have dividends from US bond funds that are tax exempt in my state of Vermont. Where do I enter that info which is not broken out on the 1099-div form

Edit the 1099-DIV form.

Check that all the box entries are correct as-issued.

Then Continue to the next page and check the box...."A portions of these dividends is U.S. Government interest"

Continue and enter the $$ amount you calculated as coming from US Bonds.
