I have a duplex that I live-in/rent. I put the total tax/interest from 1098 in Rental Income. TT calculates Sch E correctly but Sch A incorrectly. What's wrong?
Property Tax: $10,684 (33% rental)
Sch E. calc: $3,561 (correct)
Sch A. calc: $17,807 (incorrect)
On Sch A, TT seems to have added the correct Samount ($7,123) to the total property tax ($10,684).

The property tax and interest should only be entered once in the program. If you enter it in the rental section (Schedule E) do not enter it again on the 1098 screen in the Deductions & Credits section.
