I have 2 rental properties where income is combined in a 1099 misc income form. how to handle? do I divide the rents and submit the form twice?

Yes, you can enter the income as if you had received two1099-Misc forms, reporting the amount that applies to each rental.  Just be sure the combined rental income matches the total reported on the 1099-Misc you received.
