I got rental income from Md. as a nonresident. After deductions, how can I figure out how much of my federal total of "Rents, Royalties, and K-1 Income" is from Md.?

Since Schedule E (Form 1040) segregates income and expenses by the rental property with which they are associated, simply include on your Maryland return the income and expenses for any rental property located in Maryland.

If the location of the property is properly reported in the federal taxes section, it should carry over to the state section for you.
