This procedure has helped other in the past with this issue. However, I'm posting the recommended way to convert a rental home to primary use at the bottom. Please keep records of your accumulated depreciation claimed up to 2016 as this may become significant when it comes time to sell.
1. Open your return in TurboTax. (To do this, sign in to TurboTax, and select the Take me to my return button.)
2. In the left sidebar, select Tax Tools> Tools.
3. In the pop-up window Tool Center, choose Delete a form.
4. Select Delete next to Schedule E and follow the onscreen instructions.
