I converted my rental house to personal use in 2024 and never used it for rental in 2025, This house still shows up in the rental section in 2025 with a Schedule E

I converted my rental house to personal use in 2024, with the date of disposition specified. It still shows up in the rental section in 2025 with a SCH E, and I cannot delete it.  Is this expected?

Since it was never used for rental in 2025, on its 2025 Sch E worksheet, "Days rented at fair rental value" is zero, and personal of personal use is 365.  This triggered an error in review, saying this value cannot be zero, has to be at least 15. What should these two values be then?

You have to "dispose of" the property, otherwise the program assumes it is still an active rental property.  Below is a link to a TurboTax Article with step-by-step instructions on how to change your rental to personal use.  Make sure you have your depreciation reports printed and saved as a PDF.  When/if you sell (or otherwise dispose of) the property you will need them to calculate the gain and the depreciation recapture.

How do I report a rental property that's been converted to a personal residence?
