If you go back through the interview for each rental property and, when asked, indicate that your income might exceed $197,300 (or $394,600 if married filing a joint return), then answer "No" to the specified services questions, you will again be given the option to combine the rental into another or indicate that the "business" is independent of any other activities.
If this doesn't resolve the error, follow these steps to “un-aggregate” them in TurboTax Online:
This is not working. Turbo Tax is not even letting me delete the forms. This seems to be a bug in the system
Please clarify what is not working. Have you tried both options provided previously? Did you revisit the QBI section for each Rental Property? Were you able to find the forms listed in the instructions?
I tried everything. Going back to the questions and removing the QBI and adding it again and nothing. I even removed the income and expenses from one of the properties and nothing worked. I spent 4 hours with a TT expert and she also tried anything and didn't work. Then the next day I tried with another TT expert and after another 4 hours of trying everything they came to the conclusion that the problem is a bug in the online version. They suggested that I switch to turbo tax desktop version and redo everything. They are going to report this issue to the development team to come up with a fix. Don't need to tell you that it was very disappointing
