Hurricane damage-damaged tree and debris removal

Trees at our home were damaged by Hurricane Milton.  I incurred $2500 is costs to trim trees and dispose of all the debris.  How to you enter this info?   Trees are 80 years old.  There is no Basis and only a guess on decrease on FMV.  I do understand how you only enter this type of damage using form 4684.  What am I missing?

Thank you!

In order to report a loss, you'll need to enter a FMV from before and after the loss.  The best way to estimate this would be a FMV of $2,500 before the loss and $0 directly after the loss, before the clean-up.

Here's some information you may find helpful: What if I have property that was lost or damaged (a casualty loss)?
