How do I report loss for a bankrupt stock as original stock was deemed worthless, but I did receive diluted number of shares in re-emerged company, but not trading yet?
All original shares of company were deemed worthless and cancelled in bankruptcy. Stockholders received limited new shares at less value when company emerged from bankruptcy.

You don't have a loss until you sell the new shares. Then you will have a realized loss and can deduct it on schedule D.
