No, there is nothing to do differently if you only worked for part of the year. There is no place on a tax return where you enter the dates you worked. You are just entering the income you received in 2023---no matter when during 2023 you received it. When you receive your W-2, you just prepare and file a normal tax return. Even if you did not make enough to be required to file, if tax was withheld from your paychecks you can seek a refund of federal and state tax that is in boxes 2 and 17 of your W-2.
