Yes you will need to enter the Capital loss carryover in 2018 and then if still have some it can be carried over to 2019 tax year.

To enter the Capital Loss Carrover from 2017 do the following,

To enter your Capital Loss Carryover from 2017 on the 2018 return.

Click on Federal Taxes
Click on Wages and Income
Click on I'll choose what I work on
Scroll down to Investments
On 2nd one down you will see Capital Loss Carryover, click the start or update button
