How do I enter short term gains on an annual distribution from a mutual fund or stock. Turbo tax shows only Total gains?

Where does turbo Tax show a listing of the Capital gains from 1099s that are summarized on Sched-D

Did you sell the mutual fund ?   Or are you talking about cap gain distributions on a 1099-B?

Your Total Gains are all Long Term gains.

Your Short Term gains have been included with dividends (1099-DIV box 1a).
