How do I add a 2nd Member/Partner in TurboTax Business?

I need to add a second member for our partnership LLC. I don't see an option to. When I search online, it says to go to the Member Summary screen and add/edit. The only buttons on the screen are Back or Done.

To add a member to a partnership return (Form 1065) in TurboTax Business:

• Click on the BUSINESS INFO tab at the top of the screen.  
• Click on Partner/Member Information 
• You should land of the "Partner Summary" screen
• Click on the "Add Another Partner" button

When I got to Partner Summary, the only 2 buttons on that screen are Back and Done.

Did you file a return for this partnership last year?  If so, select the "About Your Business" tab.  On the page with "Confirm Your Business Information" scroll down and select Edit next to "Has an ownership change".  Indicate there was a change and then see if you can add a partner.

No, this is a new business created in 2025. I initially selected the regular LLC option in the beginning (because our state doesn't recognize partnerships), but went back and changed it to partnership LLC. I thought that might open up the option to add a partner, but it did not.

You will probably have to start the return over to get the partnership LLC started.  Once you started it as a regular LLC it didn't have the partnership information available and going back and changing it doesn't generate all those required forms behind the scenes.

There is no button for Add Another Partner or Edit.  Just Back and Done.  Like first message said.

Make sure you select Multi-member LLC, Partnership, or S-corporation when starting your return.  

To enter partner/member/shareholder information, go to:

1. Business Info
2. Partner/member/Shareholder Information tab
3. Enter the first partner's information
4. Go through the questions regarding the first partner
5. Once you get to the Partner Summary Screen, locate the Add Another Partner box.
6. Click the Add another Partner box
7. Follow the prompts to add the second partner's information
8. Repeat the process if you need to add additional partners.
