How can I file my 1099-b when I did not purchase the stock? It was awarded to me by the company I work for.

You will file your 1099-B that was awarded to you the same as if you purchased it.  You will use the award date as the purchase date when entering the 1099-B.

 

To enter your 1099-B in TurboTax enter 1099-B in the search box, click on jump to 1099-B then follow the prompts to enter your 1099-B.

when they awarded you that stock some value should have been added to your W-2 taxable wages.  that becomes your tax basis and should be on the 1099-B
