How can I enter expenses as direct (100% deductible) instead of having the software auto prorate them? I’m trying to enter per-stay cleaning fees for a short-term rental.

I'm using TurboTax online. Regardless of the category that I choose (like cleaning/maintenance), the software is pro-rating the expenses based on fair rental vs persona use. I do not see an option to designate as direct.

Try entering it in the Other Expenses category that comes up near the end of all of the expenses. You can enter your own description for the expense and the amount and it should not prorate this category between rental and personal use.
