I expect that you want to edit your stock or Mutual Fund data. This can be found in the INCOME area of your return.
- Scroll down to Investment Income
- Select Stocks, Mutual Funds, Bonds ....
- YES you did sell investments
- I expect but not sure you got a 1099-B
- At the bottom of page I'll type it myself
- Select your broker
- I'll enter one sale at a time
- This will give you the source data to correct gains and losses.
You should not change the original data from the 1099-B. The IRS uses this as a benchmark to compare your return. However, at the bottom of the page you can select I'll enter additional information myself.
