The current product is 2018 Deluxe.    You mistyped the year above as "2019.".  I'll change it for you.

Yes, the desktop version of 2018 Deluxe (CD/download) can handle all the usual Federal forms, including Schedule D, Form 8949, and other investment forms to report capital gains/losses.

It is the ONLINE version of Deluxe that has form limitations and cannot handle a Schedule D and investment gains/losses.  In an Online version, Premier or higher would be necessary.

NOTE:  Be aware that desktop Deluxe comes in 2 versions--one that is a combo Federal and State, and one that is Federal only.  If purchased directly from TurboTax, it is the combo Fed and State version.   If purchased elsewhere, you have to be careful as to which version of desktop Deluxe you are buying.

Although all desktop versions support all the same Forms, Schedules and Worksheets, meaning that in theory ANY income tax return that needs those supported documents could be prepared by any version, that's not the same as saying that you could produce any income tax return by using the "interview" method alone.  I believe that the Deluxe version, for example, does NOT include "interviews" for the sale of stock acquired via employer stock incentive programs, (ESPPs, ISOs and the like).  So in the case of sales of stocks acquired via one of these programs you might have to resort to forms mode.
