You will deduct this on your schedule C.  There is a category for both rent and utilities.

To deduct self employment expenses :

  1. Sign into your TurboTax account.
  2. Go Federal Taxes
  3. Go to Income and Expenses .
  4. Click Edit to the right of your Self Employment Income
  5. Click Edit next to your line of work
  6. Scroll down to the Expenses section and click Add Expenses for this work.
