Do I enter a rental property as self employment?
Yes. Rental income is considered self employment income and it is reported on Schedule E. You can quickly find this form in Turbo Tax Online, by using the topic search tool. Please follow the directions below to do so.
- Sign in to your return.
- Click take me to my return.
- Click my account, at the top of the page.
- Select tools in the drop down menu.
- Click topic search, type in Schedule E, and click go.
You are now in the correct place to enter your rental property income.
