Do I deduct expenses for all year if my rental property went on the sales market in September or do I only deduct through August?
Tentants moved out at the end of August. We put the property on the market in September for sale. We did not offer it for rent. It sold in March 2017.

You should deduct expenses through August and no later since the property was not available for rent while it was listed for sale.
