You can manually enter your capital loss carryover in the Wages and Income section, and then Investment Income, then Capital Loss Carryover.

This is exactly what I did and it did not carryover and still shows 0 for capital loss carryover. Not worrking and it is from last years return.  Do I have to show this years losses and then do this or can I enter it manually someplace else in turbotax

If your Capital Loss Carryover shows $0 on the Income Topics page, that's a display issue that doesn't affect your return.  If you entered the amount of your carryover in the interview, you should get a screen 'Here are your Loss Carryover Amounts' and then a screen 'Your Losses Offset Your Income This Year'.

@ronk3737  Are you using the Online version or the Desktop program.  Where is it showing 0?  Could it be this?

On the income page The 2025 column shows the carryover to 2026 (not your current loss for 2025). Schedule D doesn't actually show the carryover amount. To find your Capital Loss Carryover amount you need to look at your return schedule D page 2. Line 16 will be your total loss and line 21 should be a max loss of 3,000. The difference between line 16 and 21 is the carryover loss for next year.

But if you have a negative AGI or negative taxable income it will show up on 1040 BUT it won't reduce the carryover to the next year.
