Can I deduct a large rental loss when my tennant stoped paying rent and continued to live in my rental house Est $20,000. I used a sheriff and the courts to evict them?

There is no deduction for rent not paid. Since it is an income tax, you have less income to pay tax on. You can still deduct all your expenses as well as the amounts to have them evicted.
