Are the expenses for major repairs over the years of a rental home that were deducted on tax returns still used for cost basis on Sale of the Rental home?

Repairs deducted in previous years cannot be deducted again when the property is sold.

If you reported the work as repairs on your tax return, then you cannot add them to the basis of the property since you already deducted them.
