Adjusted Basis of Home Sold Worksheet

Line 17 of the Adjusted Basis of Home Sold Worksheet correctly calculates the adjusted basis of my residence, sold in 2025. 

Line 17 of the Adjusted Basis of Home Sold Worksheet should flow into Line 6 of the Home Sale .Worksheet. 

Instead, Line 1c of the Adjusted Basis of Home Sold Worksheet flows to Line 6 of the Home Sale .Worksheet.

So Line 6 of the Home  Sale Worksheet leaves out Line 4, "Cost of capital improvements", in the Adjusted Basis of Home Sold Worksheet.

Please advise.

We are unable to duplicate this form flow experience. Have you run updates when you open TurboTax Desktop?

If you are still seeing this experience after updating, you can share a copy of your TurboTax ".tax2025" file with us. This would be a “diagnostic” file that has your “numbers” but not your personal information.  

If you would like to do this, open your return and go to Online in the top menu, then choose "Send Tax File to Agent." You will see a message explaining what the diagnostic copy is.  Click okay through this screen and then you will get a Token number.

Reply to this thread with your Token number and tag (@) the Expert who requested it. This will allow us to open a copy of your return without seeing any personal information.

We will attempt to determine what is going on in your return and if possible, provide you with guidance to resolve the experience.
