Question

Employer deducted tax on my T4PS cash bonus as part of T4, but did not declare the bonus in T4. When the T4PS was added to my return, I think I was 2x taxed. How to fix?

As part of my 2025 tax return my employer informed me that I already paid tax on my T4PS cash bonus and that tax is reflected in the taxes paid in the regular T4. However, the T4 earnings do not reflect this bonus, so I have to report my earnings on the T4PS in addition to my T4. I believe Intuit however calculated income taxes owing on the T4PS amount despite the income tax amount already having been paid in 2025 as part of my T4. How can my return be amended to reflect the tax already paid on my T4PS cash bonus, as I can't seem to find a way to prevent Intuit auto calculating income taxes when adding the T4PS amount?

This would mean that your employer did not fill out your T-slips correctly and would need to amend your slips and send them to you.

    Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
