Question

all my previous filings were on a windows 10 computer. my new computer is a windows 11. will my previous return info carry forward into Turbotax 2025 on my new computer

Would I need to copy 2024 Turbotax files to the new computer or will the history upload automatically from your website

    Yes, in order to import data from the previous year, you must have backup files on the same computer as you have used the desktop version, and all your information stays on the same device where the program was installed. You can transfer the backup files to a new computer using an external device such as a USB.
