Federal rreturn rejected because of IP pin

The federal govt keeps rejecting the return due to a special pin # related to identify theft. I entered the # under other tax situations (as directed by the software) and return was still rejected.

How can I file electronically?

Are you using the IP PIN that you received from IRS in January this year?   They send a new one each year.

If all else fails, you'll need to file by paper...remember to write that IP PIN on the paper return in the box provided near the signature line.
